David J. Dawson, O.D.

Dr. David J. Dawson completed his undergraduate studies at the Ohio State University from 1990 to 1993. He was admitted early into the Ohio State University College of Optometry, after completing only three years of prerequisite work. While performing his clinical responsibilities, he completed a twelve week externship program at the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Medical Center. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997.

Upon graduating, Dr. Dave began practicing optometry in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Additionally, he began working part-time for the Ohio State University College of Optometry as a clinical instructor. In 2004, he was hired as a full-time clinical faculty member of the College of Optometry. In his position as Coordinator of the Primary Vision Care Clinic, he supervised the instruction of multiple optometry students. Among his responsibilities were providing students with instruction on performing eye examinations and contact lens fittings, providing students with clinically relevant and current medical knowledge and rendering patient care in an educational setting.

Dr. Dave married Dr. Michelle, in 2006, and moved to Rittman, Ohio, where they both currently reside. Dr. Dave and Dr. Michelle joined Pioneer Physicians Network and opened Tallmadge Family Eye Care together in April, 2008.

In his spare time, Dr. Dave enjoys spending time with family and gem cutting (faceting).

Michelle E. Dawson, O.D.

Dr. Michelle E. Dawson attended Ohio Northern University, where she graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. While performing her clinical responsibilities, she completed a twelve week externship program at the Akron Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2006. She was recognized for her outstanding patient care during her ocular disease rotation, by being awarded the Odyssey Ocular Disease Award.

Upon graduating, Dr. Michelle began practicing optometry in Brunswick, Ohio. Dr. Michelle and Dr. Dave, were married in September of 2006, and currently reside in Rittman, Ohio. Dr. Dave and Dr. Michelle joined Pioneer Physicians Network and opened Tallmadge Family Eye Care together in April, 2008.

In her spare time, Dr. Michelle enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Nicole Wonderchek

Nicole B. Wonderchek completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology. She participated in a Biotechnology project that studied the Burkholderia bacterial genus.

Upon graduation, Nicole began work in a laboratory as a research biologist where she was responsible for the performance and advanced procedures of assigned pharmaceutical studies.

After the decision to make a career change, she joined Tallmadge Family Eye Care in April of 2008 as an optician apprentice. In addition to her in-office training, she has also completed several online training courses in contact lens care and basic lens principles.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband Neil and her friends, singing, and reading.
