Living Coral is the Pantone color of 2019.
Black and Tortoise
Traditional frame colors like black and tortoise will never go out of style. They can be safe, comfortable mainstays for people that wear glasses daily. Thin metal frames in black and brown will have a similar effect, blending in and just becoming "another pair of plain old glasses."
Just like a new haircut or a new outfit, a different style of eyewear can drastically shape how we look, and how we see ourselves. Attitudes change, confidence improves, smiles increase. Plus, we can usually see better!
A Pop of Color
While black and tortoise are traditional safe options, they might not be the best choice. These colors tend to be heavy, dark, and bold on the face, which can bring more attention to the frame than the eyes.
A cooler color choice, like green or blue, can brighten the face and frame the eyes. A warmer color like pink or red, does the same for people with brown hair and a cooler skintone.
The best thing is, there are no rules. If it feels good, looks good, and you like it, that’s what matters. If we have to wear glasses anyway, might as well have fun with it, right?
If you’re ready to take the plunge into the world of colored eyewear, Coral is a great baby step. This colorway can lean toward a neutral brown-pink, or a bold and bright neon. The world is your oyster (ocean pun intended).
