TFEC is back!
We are pleased to announce that Tallmadge Family Eye Care will be reopening May 11, 2020, with normal office hours!
Per Governor DeWine’s Responsible Restart Ohio Plan, Optometry Clinics may now resume “routine” care. We truly missed our great community and are thrilled to be “back in business.” However, in order to ensure the safety of our staff and patients, we will be following new procedural guidelines, as set forth by the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
What you need to know
Entry into our facility will now be by appointment only. Our doors will be locked during business hours and a staff member will admit patients upon arrival. At this time, we will not be allowing “walk-in” visitors. If you are in need of services that cannot be scheduled in advance, please call our front desk at (330) 630-2580 to discuss arrangements.
All staff and patients are required to wear masks during their time in the office.
All staff and patients will be screened upon arrival for COVID-19 symptoms and their temperatures will be checked with a no-touch thermometer if available. Any employee who has symptoms of illness or a temperature of 100 degrees or greater will not be permitted to work. Any patient with symptoms or fever will be asked to reschedule.
Patients are asked not to bring additional friends or family to their appointments, unless they are necessary to aid in patient care. Only one parent or necessary caregiver will be allowed to accompany the patient.
Frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs and desktops, will be sanitized multiple times per day.
All exam instruments and contacted equipment surfaces are thoroughly sanitized between patients.
Exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each use and at the end of the day.
Eyeglass frames will be sanitized after patient contact.
Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations throughout the office.
We kindly ask that you try to maintain 6 feet of distance from others in the office if possible, and please reschedule your appointment if you or a family member is feeling ill.
